Welcome to the British Canoe Union.
Set up in 1936 to send a team to the Berlin Olympics, the BCU is the lead body for canoeing and kayaking in the UK. Since then the organisation has grown considerably, and the range of canoeing opportunity has increased tremendously

Free Paddle-Ability Pool Sessions. The sessions are suitable for young people (min age 6 years), adults and their personal assistants. All coaches and volunteers have suitable training and an enhanced CRB certificate. The sessions are supported by The Community Foundation for Surrey and Spelthorne Borough Council.

The Oxford Adaptive Canoe Group was formed to enable people to enjoy Canadian canoeing in a friendly, relaxed and supportive manner. The group's aims are to develop the paddling skills of volunteers, with the ultimate goal of offering disabled people an opportunity to enjoy canoeing. The group is run by and for disabled and non-disabled people.
